Self Introduction

 Hello. I'm Urara Tokumaru. I'm from Kitakyushu Fukuoka.
 I like listening to music and going music festivals. What impressed me most about music festival was Fuji Rock Festival in 2017. I love Lorde. I saw her at it in 2014. I could see her in the front row twice. I like the way she expresses her own music. I'm going to Fuji Rock this year but I probably can't go there because of Coronavirus. I often listen to Dua Lipa's album "Future Nostalgia". I love her, too. She's so cool and her voice is powerful.
 I went to America for ESL program this year. I enjoyed staying there and learned something important. It was hard for me to speak in English. I couldn't find my words. So I have to study harder. If I go back to Montana, I hope I can speak more. I keep in touch with my host mother. I want to improve my English skills.

Pocahontas

  This week, I read "Pocahontas". This is a book about an woman who prevented war during two countries. When I started to read this book, I thought she would get married with John Smith who is a English leader, but they didn't get marry, and Pocahontas got marrired with another man.      "I loved you so much, but now I have a son and a husband, and they love me. You and I cannot be friends. Goodbye, John Smith."(p,39) This is Pocahontas's serif. I thought this part is interesting, because she blames him over and over, and I can understand her feeling. I couldn't understand Smith's feeling, and I was surprised at an unexpected development. This story was made into a movie by disney. KUNG FU PANDA HOLIDAY

  Po try to cook at the Jade palace at winter festival. He can't cook very well. So he asked his father to cook at the palace, but he refuse it. Po's father said, "At Winter Festival I always cook dinner for family and friends." I thought Po should spend with his family and friends,  and his father looked sad. After that, he was helped by his friends, so they could cook  at the palace. And Po helps his father, everyone is happy☺ They should spend time with their favorite people at winter festival.

This week I read Australia and New Zealand. This book tells us what countries Australia and New Zealand are, the history of Australia and New Zealand, indigenous people, animals, nature, famous people and so on. I'll show you what I was interested in Australia is a big country. It's 6th largest country all over the world. The journey from Perth in the west to Sydney in the east takes about four hours by plane. If you walk all around Australia along the coast, you will travel 25,760km.  Uluru (Ayers Rock) ・ One of the most beautiful things you can see in Australia. ・ The length is 3km and the height is 348m, but it continues to 2100m underground. ・ In the evening, the yellow color changes to gold, red, and sometimes purple. (2) Great Barrier Reef ・ The longest coral reef in the world, covering about 2000km. Born 15,000 years ago, there are 1500 kinds of fish inhabiting it.
